Luan, or Loan in Vietnamese, is a mythological bird in East Asian mythology. It is often mistaken for the Phượng Hoàng (Phoenix) since they share many similar artistic features. This Luan Bird was often embroidered on the royal robe of the Nguyễn Dynasty's princesses.
