Kim Bài – Laser-Cut, Hand-Painted – Honorable Emblem of the Nguyễn Dynasty

Inspired by the Kim Bài, honorary plaques once worn by mandarins and royalty of the Nguyễn Dynasty, this piece is crafted from wood and acrylic, using precision laser-cutting combined with detailed hand-painting.

Historically, Kim Bài served as symbols of merit, functioning as service medals, identification tags, and court entry passes. These prestigious items were often inscribed with regnal names, titles, or mottos, representing the rank and personal virtues of the wearer.

This modern interpretation preserves the traditional spirit while offering a unique keepsake that bridges Vietnamese cultural heritage and contemporary craftsmanship.

Product Details:
Our badges are made from wood or acrylic. The historical dragon frame was reproduced from the golden badge titled Cơ Mật Đại Thần (Grand Officer of the Secret Institute), worn by a senior mandarin of the privy council. Other graphics are purely our modern creations. Our badges are laser-cut, painted by hand, and coated with a gloss protective finish. They are highly customizable for any occasion and are best worn with áo dài. Nonetheless, it is also elegant when worn with western suits as seen historically by French colonial officials. When ordering, be sure to pay attention to the customizable options. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or requests regarding this order.
